The Blog that Noone Reads

Recently, Google purchased a company that makes a really cool 3D modeling app called Sketchup. Today, they released a free version of the tool. It’s apparently not completely full featured, but who cares? It’s free. Also, once you’ve modeled your whatever, there is a function to export that model to Google Earth. Really cool stuff.

There is an old statement that goes something like “when one door closes, another opens.” Lately, I feel like I’m stuck in a Scooby Doo chase sequence. What I mean by that is, there are so many doors opening and closing all around me, I’m not sure if I’m coming or going anymore.

I’ve decided it would not be prudent of me to go into further details about what I’m talking about at this point, but most of you who are reading this know what I’m talking about anyway. I’ve discovered recently, after an evening of desparate depression lead to a long and embarrasingly pitiful post, that people actually do read this site. That being the case, I think I’m going to wait until some of my present issues are resolved before I post any more details.

A conversation I just had through Google chat:

me: who is this?

me: lol
I’m dave
bryan.eli.fernandez: why are you on my buddy list…
me: actually, I’m not sure
I got a message
“bryan.eli.fernandez would like to chat with your” or something like that
bryan.eli.fernandez: oh i must of sent it to the wrong person
2:00 PM me: that explains it
bryan.eli.fernandez: my g/f has the same last name
me: interesting… maybe I know her
what’s her first name?
bryan.eli.fernandez: rikah
me: nope
don’t know her
bryan.eli.fernandez: we are in the dc area
me: this appears to be sort of a strange web equivalent of a wrong number
2:01 PM oh. I’m in california

me: no problem at all
