Geekery and Fashon
Sunday, April 16th, 2006I just read a rather hilarious article on Wired.com. It is definately a recommended read for anyone out there carrying lots of electronic crap all the time.

I ran into a couple of my old high school teachers at Starbucks yesterday. I always find it fascinating to see teachers out of the school environment. It’s almost like they’re real people. Also, they’re usually totally different from how you remember them in school. I’m at a strange point in my life where I’m still just barely out of school, but I’m old enough where I could be a teacher. Actually, I have a friend that’s an elementary school teacher, which is weird. I’d really like to go see her in teacher mode as I’m sure it would totally freak me out.
Anyway, some strange coincidence put those guys in the coffee shop at the same time as me and it was cool to catch up a bit. The strangest part though, I told Clay who I’d run into while we were walking from the car to the Brit. He asked about Mr. Currin, who was usually hanging out with the guys I ran into. It wasn’t two minutes later when we ran into a very very drunk Mr. Currin at the bar.
So I looked in the fridge for something to drink. There was orange juice! I pull the bottle out and, behind it, there is yet another bottle of oj. It turns out, one of them is “High Pulp” and the other is “Pulp Free.” But what if i just want “Some Pulp?”
“Some Pulp”About 3am on Saturday, Unger, Mhareen, Niki, and I were all sitting around on Unger’s couch, talking about Disneyland. Unger and Mhareen were going to be going the next morning, but Niki and I had to be at work on Monday. After talking about it for a few minutes, we decided to just go. Right then. So we all ran home to grab a change of clothes and whatnot and by 4, we were on our way.
We got there around 11 and spent the whole day at the park. After the park closed, Niki and I headed home. It was a really fun trip. We managed to go on pretty much every ride we wanted to see. I love doing spontaneous stuff like that. It’s a bit easier if you can spend one night there, but it’s pretty freakin’ cool that I drove to Disneyland yesterday and made it to work today. The only real bummer was that they ran out of silly hats. Also, I’m really tired right now.
