Last One Out’s a Rotten Egg
Friday, July 28th, 2006It’s just past 7 on a Friday night and I’m still at my desk. When I arrive at work, the place is already teaming with both hustle and bustle. I don’t know what it is about me and staying late on a Friday. Maybe a large part of it is that I don’t have to get up early to go to work the next day, so it’s easier to stay late.
In any event, I have some of my most productive coding sessions after the rest of the world has long since gone home. There are a couple people left in the office, but it’s a big office. All the way in the back here, it’s quite. Just me, my geekery, and the soothing sounds of my MacBook keyboard clicking away.
Moving Up In the World
Friday, July 21st, 2006Last week, they moved me up to the 13th floor. I’m closer to some of the people I work with every day, but I’m way the heck in the back of the office. I feel kind of isolated. Some time in the future, they’re going to move me somewhere else.

I Know a Guy

I have a friend who works at a video game store (you know who you are). The good people at Penny-Arcade have made a comic specifically about him. I don’t know how they do it.
A Place in the City
Thursday, July 6th, 2006I always thought it would be cool to live in San Francisco. That may actually become a reality. I looked at a place in the Sunset area on my lunch break. It looks pretty good. It’s not as nice as the other apartments I’ve lived in before, but it’s all about location right now.
I have to wait a bit to find out exactly what will be available, but things are looking good. I’m excited.
